Exhibition ‘Wild Things’ with products of the ames sala collection due to Biennale INTERIEUR | 14 Oct – 4 Dec 2016 | TEXTURE museum, Kortrijk

Due to the 25th Biennale INTERIEUR (14 – 23 Oct 2016) the TEXTURE museum shows the exhibition ‘Wild Things’ with objects of the ‘ames sala by sebastian herkner’ collection in Kortrijk from 14 October until 4 December 2016. Lidewij Edelkoort and Philip Fimmano, the curators of the exhibition, drew their inspiration from nature. Materials of the ground like roots and minerals, yarns and wool as well as fibres and grasses create unconventional designs in fashion and product design. ‘Wild Things’ focuses on a generation of objects, which are special due to such natural materials – designs that have a wild side, their own inner energy and a soul. Among other things, Lidewij Edelkoort and Philip Fimmano chose the ceramics series BARRO and the rug NUDO of the ames sala collection for their exhibition.

Exhibition ‘Wild Things’ (14 Oct – 4 Dec 2016)
